GWW offers free lectures to the New York metropolitan area throughout the year. There is no need to register for these lectures, but seating is limited.
Larry
Habegger is the executive editor for Travelers' Tales who has been
covering the world since his international travels began in the 1970s. A
freelance writer for more than two decades and syndicated columnist since
1985, he has written for many major newspapers and magazines, including the
Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Travel & Leisure, and Outside. Larry
regularly teaches the craft of personal travel writing at workshops and writers
conferences, and he lives with his family on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco.
David Farley teaches travel writing at Gotham Writers'
Workshop. He has written about travel for various publications, including Conde
Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Travel Savvy, Playboy, Chicago Tribune,
The Dallas Morning News, Planet, and Time Out New York. He's also been featured
in The Best Travelers' Tales 2004 and is currently editing an anthology of
travel writing on Prague. He is the nightlife editor at BlackBook magazine
and New York City food editor at Gayot.com..
