Hold My Gold:
A White Girl's Guide to the Hip-Hop World

Please join authors Amanda McCall and Albertina Rizzo for an entertaining lesson titled "Born Wack: Helping White Girls Overcome Their Wackness in Pursuit of a More Hip-Hop Lifestyle".

The lesson will include a hip-hop-bee (a gameshow-type scenario in which three very wack white girls will have to answer certain questions and perform certain tasks to prove their crunkess. The authors will decide who is the crunkest of the three and will reward them with a bottle of Hennessy, a large, gold piece of jewelry and a container of piping hot, freshly-baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies). This will be followed by a question and answer session pertaining to the subjects explored in the book such as "How to be a Video Ho" and tips on how white girl's can easily and quickly de-wackify their homes, their cars, and, most importantly, themselves.

Hold My Gold delivers a comprehensive (and hilarious) course in the science of hip-hop from dance tips and social etiquette to automotive advice and cooking tips. Modeled after grade-school textbooks and the Dummies guides, Hold My Gold comes complete with charts, illustrations, multiple-choice quizzes, and sidebars featuring expert commentators such as Snoop, Fat Joe, and Lil Jon.

“I’m usually skeptical when white people attempt to interpret hip-hop, but these two hoes are da bomb.”
— Andy Borowitz, creator, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Albertina Rizzo has worked as an editor and a PR director. She grew up in the trenches of New York City’s Soho, which used to be kind of dangerous.

Amanda McCall has worked at The Late Show with David Letterman. She grew up on the mean streets of Central Park West, which is sort of near the Bronx.
